kundalini Yoga
A somatic, nervous-system-informed practice for cultivating greater presence, vitality, and self-trust.
What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is often called the Yoga of Awareness because it combines movement, breathwork, meditation, mantra, and sound to cultivate a deeper connection with yourself.
Rather than focusing solely on physical exercise, Kundalini works with the body, mind, and energy as an integrated whole. Classes are built around kriyas - intentional sequences of movement, breath, and meditation designed to support specific physical, mental, and emotional outcomes.
Many people are drawn to Kundalini because it can help quiet the mental noise, balance the nervous system, and create a greater sense of clarity, vitality, and ease in everyday life.
I think of Kundalini as a practice of coming home to yourself. It helps in learning to listen more deeply, respond rather than react, and move through life with greater presence and intention.
My Approach
My teaching honors the roots of Kundalini Yoga while offering a more modern, nervous-system-informed approach.
Traditional Kundalini can sometimes be taught with an emphasis on intensity, discipline, and completing practices exactly as prescribed. While those teachings have value, I believe transformation happens most effectively when we feel safe, supported, and empowered in our bodies.
My classes are informed by somatics, which simply means developing greater awareness of your internal experience. You'll be invited to notice sensations, emotions, energy levels, and nervous system cues as part of the practice.
Choice is always welcome. You may rest, modify movements, or soften breathwork if it doesn't feel supportive. Rather than pushing through discomfort, we work with curiosity, self-awareness, and self-trust.
When we practice from a place of safety and choice, Kundalini becomes a powerful tool for calming the nervous system, releasing stress, and reconnecting with our natural vitality.
Whether you're brand new to Kundalini or looking for a gentler, more accessible experience, you'll find a supportive space to explore the practice in your own way.
You don't need to be flexible, spiritual, or experienced to practice Kundalini Yoga. You simply need a willingness to be present with yourself.
This practice can support you if…
You feel stressed, overwhelmed, or stuck in "go mode"
You're looking for practices that support nervous system regulation and resilience
You want to feel more present and connected to yourself
You're curious about Kundalini Yoga but want an approach that feels more accessible
You've tried traditional Kundalini before and are looking for a softer, more adaptable experience
What My Classes Are Like
Each class weaves together movement, breathwork, mantra/sound, meditation, and relaxation in a way that feels supportive, accessible, and adaptable.
We work with traditional Kundalini kriyas through a somatic, nervous-system-informed lens. You'll be encouraged to move at your own pace, listen to your body's signals, and explore the practice with curiosity rather than striving for perfection.
Some classes feel energizing and uplifting, while others are grounding, restorative, and deeply nourishing. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to show up exactly as you are.
