Sound Healing & Sound Baths
A Practice in Receiving
Sometimes, the most healing thing you can do is stop pushing so hard.
Sound healing offers a gentle invitation to pause, soften, and allow yourself to be supported.
Using crystal singing bowls, the gong, drums, and other therapeutic instruments, I create immersive sound experiences that help calm the nervous system, quiet mental chatter, and guide you into a deeply restorative state.
Whether you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or simply craving a moment to reconnect with yourself, sound healing can help you return to a place of balance, clarity, and ease.
What Is Sound Healing?
Sound healing is a restorative practice that uses vibration and sound to support relaxation, nervous system regulation, and emotional well-being.
Everything in our world (including our bodies) is in a constant state of vibration. During a sound healing session, soothing frequencies and resonant tones create an environment that encourages your body and mind to shift from a state of stress and "doing" into a state of rest and receiving.
Many people describe sound healing as feeling like a meditation they don't have to work at.
You don't need any experience. You don't need to quiet your mind. You simply get comfortable and allow yourself to be immersed in sound.
The Magic of Sound
Sound is more than something we hear. It's something we feel.
Sound travels in waves, moving through the air and through matter. It's one of the reasons music can bring us to tears, calm our minds, or instantly shift our mood.
Sound has been used for healing and communication throughout human history, and even modern medicine uses sound waves in technologies such as ultrasounds and other therapeutic applications.
In a sound bath, soothing tones and vibrations create an environment that encourages the body to relax, the mind to soften, and the nervous system to settle. While the experience may feel magical, many people simply describe it as a profound sense of rest and ease.
How it Supports Your Nervous System
Many of us spend our days operating in a constant state of busyness, pressure, and overstimulation.
When stress becomes chronic, it can feel difficult to relax, sleep deeply, think clearly, or feel fully present in your life.
Sound healing helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" response), which is associated with relaxation, recovery, and restoration.
As the sounds wash over you, many people experience:
A sense of calm and deep relaxation
Reduced stress and tension
Improved sleep quality
Emotional release and processing
Greater mental clarity
Enhanced creativity and intuition
A feeling of being more grounded, centered, and connected
Every experience is unique, and there is no right or wrong way to receive a sound bath.
What Happens During a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is much like it sounds—you are immersed in sound.
Sessions typically begin with gentle movement, breathwork, or guided meditation to help you settle into the space and release the busyness of the day.
From there, you'll lie down comfortably (or remain seated if you prefer) while I play a blend of crystal singing bowls, gong, chimes, ocean drum, and other instruments.
As the sounds and vibrations unfold, your body naturally begins to relax. Some people feel sensations moving through the body, some experience vivid imagery or emotions, and others simply drift into a deeply restful state.
Many participants say they leave feeling lighter, clearer, calmer, and more connected to themselves.
My Approach
My work blends sound healing with my broader philosophy of nervous system care, mindfulness, and whole-person wellness.
I hold sound baths as gentle, supportive spaces where you can step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect with your own inner wisdom.
I work primarily with the gong and crystal singing bowls, along with chimes, ocean drum, percussion instruments, and guided meditation techniques to create a deeply nourishing experience.
I bring both technical training and intuitive presence to every session, creating a space that feels safe, grounded, and welcoming for all experience levels.
